Our Mission & Ideals
At Socio Sphinx Collective, our work spans local wellness events, educational resources, and social science research—all designed to foster awareness, resilience, and meaningful action.
We have envisioned a threefold approach:
– Uncovering our communities’ stories by connecting on universal topics like mental and emotional health, current and lifelong stressors, along with many other social issues we are facing
– Creating pathways for healing and positive life changes by offering an eclectic range of recurring wellness-related events, along with information sessions, at low to no cost to our attendants
– Utilizing the information discovered through these connections, along with further in-depth research and data, in composing advocacy briefs for submission to our social decision makers
By offering a range of resources—from policy discussions to wellness practices—we strive to create a space where advocacy meets action, and every voice has the power to make an impact.
Who We Are
For now, “we” is just me!
I’m Francesca Rompal — Founder & Director of Socio Sphinx Collective
With an M.A. in Sociology and a deep passion for understanding the intersections of mental health, social justice, and community wellness, I find myself dedicating this avenue of my career to advocating for my peers and our universal struggles.
My background includes academic research on rehabilitation, mental health, and criminal justice reform, which I am eager to expand upon with this platform.
My story also includes experiences with mental and emotional health struggles, various traumas, and a host of other lessons disguised as misfortunes.
I will wax poetic in future spaces; for now I’ll say, our lives are uniquely individual and yet so many of us can relate to one another in often unexpected ways. Creating a space that can help facilitate these connections, and where all feel welcome, is an honor and a privilege – even from the start line.
